KANSAS CITY CHIEFS JUNIOR COMMUNITY QUARTERBACK
The Kansas City Chiefs and NFL Charities invite you to submit an application for the “Kansas City Chiefs
Junior Community Quarterback” grant. The goal of the Chiefs Junior Community Quarterback program is to
promote community investment and volunteerism in youth via small to mid-level grants.
No more than $5,000 and no less than $1,000 may be granted to any one project. Grants will be awarded based on
the quality of a project. Students will need to partner with a sponsoring 501(c)3 organization when executing
their proposal. Projects may include: playground clean-ups, repainting graffiti-covered walls, planting a garden
at a senior center, and food/clothing collection drives.

- Who is Eligible?
High school and college students who are residents of Kansas and Missouri.
Each application must have a member who is in a leadership position of the project or program and is either a current
high school student 18 years old or younger or a current college student who is 18-23 years old. Submitted
projects require a sponsoring not-for-profit organization in the form of a school, religious organization, community
group or other 501c(3). Grants will be made payable only to the sponsoring organization.
- Application Process
Individuals or groups may apply for the Chiefs Junior Community Quarterback grant by completing the application form here (PDF) and returning it by postal mail to the Chiefs Community Relations Department.
- How are the Chiefs Junior Community Quarterback determined?
A review panel comprised of team representatives will review the submitted applications. Organizations are eligible for this grant once per calendar year. The sponsor will be notified within two weeks of receipt of the application.
