INTRODUCING…
After a grueling but fun audition process that began early in March with hundreds of candidates, the 2007 Kansas
City Chiefs Cheerleaders have been selected!
Sponsored by Celsius Tanning, the audition process began in March with classes and
preliminary tryouts. Finalists were selected late in March and headed to “Boot Camp” to work
on teamwork, football trivia, performance, speaking skills, glamour and community relations. On April 13,
over 900 lucky audience members watched all finalists perform in a runway modeling show and a talent
audition. The focus was on singing or acting skills which are necessary to perform for the troops and at corporate
events in the cheerleader variety show. Ask anyone who attended … it was a show to remember!
Nothing was more exciting than the Final Auditions on Saturday, April 14, where 68 rookie candidates were narrowed
down to 32. On Sunday, April 15 those rookies went up against the veterans and did an incredible
job. The new squad has been selected and we thank the amazing women who competed for this high honor.
If you’re interested in auditioning in the future, classes will begin in the fall of 2007.
Congratulations to the 2007 Chiefs Cheerleaders!

WELCOME LAURA BETH AND JACKIE
Every year two or three retiring Chiefs Cheerleaders are asked to join the Hartbeat Productions team and work cheerleader events behind the scenes. We welcome full-time staff member Laura Beth and part-time staff Jackie! “It’s hard to get it out of your blood after spending several years as a cheerleader,” says Jackie. “I’ll miss cheering at Arrowhead and all of those community service projects, but I’m looking forward to serving in a new way.” Laura Beth expressed similar sentiments as she was retiring. “I’m just dedicated to all this program stands for and I want to continue contributing as much as I can. Besides, I’m just replacing my pom pons with a clipboard!”
