The Border Showdown at Arrowhead Stadium between the University of Missouri and the University of Kansas is set for Saturday, November 28th with kickoff scheduled for 2:30 PM. Tickets are still available for one of the fiercest rivalries in the Big 12, including an exclusive four-pack ticket option that includes four upper reserve seats for just $99. Parking lots will open to the general public at approximately 9:30 AM and stadium gates will open at 12:30 PM. Fans may also take advantage of bus transportation to the Border Showdown. Arrow Stage Lines will pick up and drop off fans at Ameristar (Lot H on the east side), Metro North (the northeast corner of the mall parking lot), Rosanna Square - Overland Park (the west side behind the fast-food restaurants) and Blue Springs (White Oak Plaza). The buses will leave each of these locations promptly at 12:30 PM and will drop off fans at Arrowhead by the northeast corner of Lot M (by Kauffman Stadium). The busses will leave from the same location 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game.

This year’s contest will mark the third consecutive year these two Big 12 rivals have met at Arrowhead. The 2008 edition of the Border Showdown featured an upset when unranked Kansas upended the 11th-ranked Missouri Tigers by a 40-37 count. A touchdown pass by the Jayhawks in the game’s final seconds gave Kansas a thrilling victory at Arrowhead. In 2007, fourth-ranked Missouri defeated second-ranked Kansas by a 36-28 score in front of 80,537 fans.

Kansas City serves as the ideal host for this great rivalry, as the metro area is home to over 25,000 alumni and current students for both universities. The centralized location of Kansas City pairs with Arrowhead’s reputation as a showplace for outstanding college football to maximize the exposure for fans of both schools.

Fans without advanced reservations cannot be guaranteed a seat.
